Phihong has launched the AA65 series USB-C Power Delivery 3.0 compliant 65W desktop chargers. USB-C offers higher charge current capabilities and faster charging times than USB A. When connected to a power delivery aware device through a power delivery aware USB-C to USB-C cable, the 65W chargers can provide optimal negotiated output voltage and charging current to the battery of the powered device.
The AA65M-59FKA features an IEC320 C6 inlet for 3-wire applications and the AA65W-59FKA features an IEC320 C8 inlet for two-wire applications. Both models support USB Power Delivery output capability of 5V/3A, 9V/3A, 15V/3A, and 20V/3.25A, are approved as Limited Power Sources to UL and IEC 62368-1, meet FCC and CISPR 32 Class B conducted and radiated emissions, and are compliant to the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE VI) regulations for external power supplies and the European Union’s ErP/Ecodesign Directive, Regulation EU 2019/1782, for external power supplies, as well the European Union’s voluntary Code of Conduct Version 5 Tier 2 efficiency and no-load power consumption requirements.
Ideal for consumer electronics, portable electronics and networking device applications, both 65W chargers accept AC input line voltage range of 90V to 264V, measure 3.62 x 1.89 x 1.16”, are terminated with a USB-C plug at the end of a 1.5 meter output cable, and come equipped with over-current, over-voltage, over-temperature, and short circuit protection features.
