The PXIe-5841 from National Instruments is a software-defined PXI Vector Signal Transceiver (VST) designed to accelerate RF validation across a wide range of wireless applications. Combining a vector signal generator, vector signal analyzer, and FPGA-based real-time signal processing in a compact two-slot PXI Express module, it delivers the flexibility of a software-defined radio architecture with RF instrument-class performance.

Supporting a frequency range of 9 kHz to 6 GHz with 1 GHz of instantaneous bandwidth, the PXIe-5841 enables testing of wireless standards including Wi-Fi 6 and 5G NR. An optional high-performance local oscillator further improves phase noise, measurement time, and error vector magnitude (EVM) performance, while the PXI Express platform supports expansion to multiple-input, multiple-output (MIMO) configurations
