The Analog Discovery Studio Max (ADS Max) from Digilent is a comprehensive electronics laboratory solution, helping engineering students learn and apply electronics principles. By combining 14 essential test instruments into one portable device, the ADS Max provides a complete electronics lab in a single compact package, empowering students to become active learners.


The ADS Max’s All-in-One Design includes 14 essential instruments – an oscilloscope, waveform generator, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer, digital multimeter, power supplies, protocol analyzer, and IV analyzer. Integrated power supplies and a breadboardable interface offer seamless circuit design and testing for seamless circuit prototyping. Digilent’s LabVIEW WaveForms Toolkit offers powerful software support simplifying integration and custom application development including APIs for C, C++, Python, and other languages enabling custom software development. The ADS Max is part of a larger ecosystem of subject-specific academic canvases and materials, providing ready-to-use lab materials for a variety of engineering disciplines.


Analog Discovery Studio Max (ADS Max) Features

  • Mixed-Signal Oscilloscope: 4 analog input channels, 14-bit resolution, up to 100 MS/s sampling rate, 50 MHz bandwidth

  • Function Generator: 2 channels, 14-bit resolution, up to 100 MS/s, ±10 V output range

  • Programmable Power Supplies: ±15 V, ±5 V, ±3.3 V with varying current ranges

  • Digital Multimeter (DMM): 4.5-digit resolution, comprehensive voltage and current ranges

  • Digital I/O: 16 versatile channels, with an additional 8 available when used with select canvases.
