The SIM7070G-HP-S from SIMCom is a satellite IoT module based on 3GPP Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) standards that supports 3GPP Rel-17 (loT-NTN). It operates on L-band (B255) and S-band (B256/B23) frequencies. It offers reliable satellite connectivity through Cat-M and Narrowband IoT (NB2) protocols.

Enabling global satellite communications, the SIM7070G-HP-S leverages 3GPP Rel-17 5G IoT-NTN to ensure connectivity with any satellite network. Its compact 24mm x 24mm footprint and hybrid LCC+LGA form factor makes it an ideal solution for space-constrained designs.

Purpose-built for versatility, the SIM7070G-HP-S is a feature-rich module with a robust set of I/O interfaces including UART, GPIO, PCM, SPI, and I2C. Excelling in environments that demand low data rates and minimal latency, the SIM7070G-HP-S is well suite for M2M applications like smart metering, remote asset tracking, telehealth, and environmental monitoring.

SIM7070G-HP-S Key Features:

  • Supports NTN, LTE Cat-M, and NB2 with ultra-low power consumption

  • Power Saving Mode (PSM) and eDRX enable battery life for up to 10 years

  • Enhanced coverage range, outperforming traditional GSM

  • Compatible AT commands and form factor with SIM7000X, SIM800F, and SIM900

SIM7070G-HP-S Key Applications:

  • M2M applications

    o   Metering

    o   Asset tracking

    o   Remote monitoring

    o   eHealth
