Altera Agilex 7 FPGA Dynamic Reconfiguration
Demonstrated with Agilex 7 FPGAs, the technology allows a single hardware platform to switch between a 400G Ethernet configuration and multiple 100G Ethernet links on the same hardware platform.
Rather than requiring manual coordination of each step, Dynamic Reconfiguration uses a profile-driven flow to manage transitions across critical networking layers, including MAC, FEC, PCS, and PMA. This helps designers support greater flexibility without hardware changes, duplicate hardware paths, or a full FPGA reprogramming cycle.
