NI Ettus USRP X420

ASUS IoT RUC-1000G
Source: NI

Expanding the NI Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP) portfolio, the Ettus USRP X420 is a software defined radio (SDR) combining next-generation software and hardware for a comprehensive solution for advanced radar systems, satellite communications, and emerging 6G research. With frequency coverage up to 20 GHz, the X420 enables access to a wide range of spectrum including FR3, Ku, and X bands.

With two transmit and two receive channels supporting 10 MHz to 20 GHz, the X420 delivers 1 GHz instantaneous bandwidth for high-resolution localization. Its phase-coherent multi-channel design integrates local oscillator (LO) sharing for seamless synchronization and system development.

Featuring the AMD Zynqâ„¢ UltraScale+â„¢ RFSoC with programmable FPGA, the X420 supports Open Source UHD tool flow. Multi-radio synchronization is supported through an integrated GPSDO or external 10 MHz and 1 PPS timing references.

NI Ettus USRP X420 Features:

  • Frequency Range: 10 MHz-20 GHz

  • Bandwidth: Up to 1 GHz per channel

  • Number of Channels: 2 transmit (via TX/RX port)/2 receive channels (via TX/RX or RX2 port)

  • Synchronization: Onboard GPSDO, 10 MHz and PPS reference Trigger In/Out interface LO In and LO Out
